Week 6-Lighting/Environment

I went away for the weekend down in Lewis where I saw some lovely view of landscapes and Meadows. I was unable to stop but I took the picture from my car of some environments that inspired me to design by environment the same way.

Today I have continued with the environment project. For Lush I have to now design and build a meadow for the ending of our advert. When doing this I had loads of difficulty because I have only become better at lighting and I wanted to have my light shine two different colours to get the happy/sun-shine atmosphere. But the hard part was the trees. I used an image I found on Google and put it though Photo-Shop where I had to re shape, add, clone and make a new texture backing so that the Trees were cut out from the original image and built into my scene. I had a class mate help me to show how I can cut out objects and transfer them into single images into Maya8. It makes the meadow environment look much better and give it a depth and 3D look, which is good since I didn't have to build trees in Maya8 and have to texture them. It took all day to light up the scene to get the environment a warmth spring look that will go well with the project.
