Week 2-Storyboards/Funisher ideas

My storyboards are my idea of what I thought would be happening in the scene. Chris has also done his own view on what happens in this scene with his storyboards.

Chris came up with the story of having the bellboy go in to the hotel room and put the pages into the bedroom, The wealthy women looks in the room finds it messy and storms off into the bath room, where she shes the package. The butterfly's open up the gift and then your presented with the bath products from lush. Then the butterfly's and bubbles fill the room, making it smell fresh and the soap tides up the hotel room. The wealthy women then looks around the corner to see the room changing.
After we spoke about we begun our ideas, but after talking to Dan Dali our other tutor, he then had said that lush is to clean your body and not a household project so maybe having the wealthy women pick up the soap and smell the product. Then she hears the ocean/ snap shot of a visual ocean scene. So that's why I have done another part of a storyboard so it can have a different ending, if the other ending doesn't fit in with the product.
Since I will be doing the hotel room modelling and texture I have been looking at the main things that I will be working on since the audience will be viewing these on screen the most.

  • I firstly thought of having a corner round bath because when I spoke to the 3D production group, they had said they wanted the room simple, modern but also luxury.
  • The bed idea was to be plain and modern, I really wanted to have a four poster because to me that spells out rich so I have combined the two ideas and come up with iron bars/boards instead of using a four poster bed. I think the decorative designs on the iron bars makes the bed look rich and modern. Because the bed is one of the most important thing in a hotel room, everything flex's on the bed, so the bed has to look rich and modern by using the cross between bed boards, design with decorations.

  • When I was thinking of modeling a toilet I really needed to draw out loads of angles of the toilet because I thought its seems easy to build a toilet in Maya8, but then when I begun to draw out the images I realised that there is loads of equipment surrounding a toilet that I didn't account for.

  • They 3D product designs had given be an image on what they wanted the sink to look like, it was very plain so I thought of drawing my own sink because its very simple and also the square base makes it easier to have the present on the side.
