I stayed late and came in really early to do the editing because we didn't have enough time to mess with.
When Chris got in with the voice over it worked really well and we went on a site Darrell told us about to get free music that isn't copyright for our animation we found a piece of soft music that fit our animation not only in movement but also it intertwined with the voice over and gave it a real feeling of being an advert. Chris worked on the editing the sound by fading it in and out also adding titles over the top showing the lush logo.

Animation
It was a very close call for us in this project I found because me and Chris are very opposite that we found it hard to connect on the same level, the only thing that worked with our relationship is that we both liked each others ideas and that helped us not waste time on the making of the project. We both had loads of work to do and Chris did fall very behind which made it harder for me because I do like time keeping and he was very laid back. But it was hard to work with Chris because I was relaying on him when I finished my part to complete the project.
It got to the last day and I took the butterfly and bubble animation of his case because he couldn't do both. But when it got the the day before hand in, he hadn't finished his character so when he did we only had a day to animate and render.
In the end I ending up having a hand in everything starting from what my job was to bailing out Chris with doing the animation, by the end we both animated the character together. Chris animated her walking into the hotel room and I animated her from picking up the soap in the bathroom to the end of the advert.
the animation wasn't brilliant because it was done in a day also Chris didn't have time to weight the character so the women hands and walk cycle look really blocky only because it was hard to animate a character with it being not perfect. but we both tried.
What I would have changed:
In the end I would like to point out that Chis did work hard but I felt I did too much and it was like my own project. the only thing that was good is I did what I wanted and that was the environments and texture them, even though Chris did make her walk pasted the bedroom, I worked hard on the lighting in the room so it was a shame it didn't get shown so if I could change things I would have come in early and animate another walk cycle and had her walking across the hall past the bedroom, also I didn't know that Chris was helping someone else with another project so more communication is needed. I would have started the character earlier and had at least two weeks to animate. The only good thing about this project is Chris helped me out by falling behind because it gave me a chance to do more animation and build up my skills.

Its the last week and we both have been really busy doing animation, I was happy only because I got to animate and it helped me to learn how to pace my animation, I begun animating Chris's character for our end scene, it looks great and works really well in the environments. I hope that we get finished by tomorrow because I want the chance to get it on rave on air. so far we have rendered the package opening and the end scene, now we are just rendering the character in the end scene, if I get done soon I will then help Chris with any other animation.
We started to get together music for the animation, we have Chris's dad doing a voice over which sounds brilliant and I think it will go nicely with the animation. Also we got the idea from both Chris and Jared to have Barry White music in the background, So me and Chris are gonna submit the DVD to Jared with Barry White track over it and then for rave on air add some other music from post production, because we can't have copyright music on our disc.

Me and Chris got the idea for the meadow scene by looking at the advert below:
we used this because the 3D production group wanted to keep the lush soap simple but show the element of nature, we showed it in a different way but took the idea from the comport advert of have bubbles and butterfly's in the air instead of what they used which was flowers and bright colours.

Week 8-playblast
Rough film of the animated meadow:
Rendered scene of the meadow:
The package opening scene from playblast:Week 8
Week 8, we had a conversation with Jared and I feel that we are behind but also I have the feeling that we will get in finished in the end. I am very happy with the project because I was able to do the environments which I like doing but also I was able to do some animation because we were falling behind I took on Chris work because he was helping with another project, in a way its much better for me to do some animation because I can then put it down to practise, not only that I can say that I animated a piece of good work. I have animate in a few of my projects, I did one called Ice Skating, the characters, environments and lighting worked really well but because I'm not good at rigging I think it made my characters harder to animate plus I didn't have the sense of timing but because I learnt from my last project I have timed this project more and also Chris made me use the Graph Editor to make the timing have better pace.
So far I have animated the package opening with the butterfly's and bubbles coming out of the box in the second scene. The end scene I animated the walls falling down plus animated the bubbles and butters moving around the meadow scene. I am now going to help Chris by animating his character in the end scene so we can get the project done in time.

Week 7
For the past few weeks I have been texture and re-texture my hotel room and meadow. It has happened a few times so I have been putting all the textures into one folder so it was easier to re-do. I haven't found the project hard I have had loads of fun doing my environments, it was great for me to build something new such as a bathroom and a meadow. For the bathroom I tried out so many different ways to improve the front part of the glass, but when Chris but the shine on the render, it made the bathroom reflex, which gave a nice reflexion on the shower glass door, which make the door look more realistic, therefore I will be leaving the door the way it is. I have also been doing the time tables and have kept to schedule with most of our work, we are running behind on the sound, renders and editing the final thing, so we are gonna be staying behind until it is finished.
I have now finished both environments and the animated wall falling down I am now taking over the bubbles and butterfly's flying around the scene. Also building the lush package.
I started to animate the wall breaking down, it was really hard because I wanted to do some animation in our project but I am now doing more animation than I thought I would, which is good because I get to learn more.
The wall its self, I begun with blend shaping the wall to crumble but it didn't look very affective, then I tried to animate and move the vertex, but it was taking a long time to do one section. So I then asked a few class mates on there opinion, and they suggested that I but joints into the wall and animate the joints. It took me a while to do but I manged to animate the wall falling down with the joints and it worked really well.
For our time tables I have to add four new things which are blend shapes, butterfly animation, the package building also voice over.
